You make a good point about the suicide rate and travel; they do indeed indicate that Swedes may not be as satisfied with their lives as much of the world seems to think they are.Justine Valinottihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10852069587181432102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7334205599297722121.post-25562748346740605862012-01-22T09:05:07.906-08:002012-01-22T09:05:07.906-08:00Well they were sterilising non-neurotypicals up un...Well they were sterilising non-neurotypicals up until the 80's.
Used to have a long term relationship with a woman who lived in Stockholm, so spent a while there. Last time I went, about 5 years ago, there was 1 openly gay person amid several hundred members of parliament.
Certainly compared to it's scandinavian neighbours, it's extremely racist, xenophobic and authoritarian. It's the only place I've ever been where lots of guys would sit around moaning about sex ; not any lack of it but the lack of any emotional content. A very sad country ( hence the suicide rate and the fact that per capita the swedes are the world's most prolific travellers ).Sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08776623935042983118noreply@blogger.com
